I tried the typing speed test again.

Your speed was: 38wpm.
You made 4 mistakes - Mrs. Caudle's Curtain Lectures by Douglas Jerrold.

Your speed was: 39wpm.
You made 1 mistake - Short stories by Saki.

Your speed was: 38wpm.
You made 3 mistakes - The Way of All Flesh by Samuel Butler.

There is no way I can beat k-tan (who typed 57wpm at the slowest.)
How did you develop your typing skills?

Umm... I've been used to using keyboards for a decade now. If that explains
anything. Though I used to type quicker, but then I fell out of practice as
I ceased to hang out in speedy chatrooms, and no longer needed to be
able to type long responses in a jiffy.

What word processor do European people most commonly use?
I usually use a plain text editor. Microsoft Word is too heavy.

49 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/05(土) 00:04:45
>>48
I'm not sure... I'm guessing Microsoft Word, as well as OpenOffice.org, and that
Sun office program thing.. Forgot its name, sorry. No Idea what people who
aren't on Windows use.
Otherwise for some very basic word processing Wordpad can suffice, or if you
don't need any formatting Notepad or any of the other simple text editors will
suffice. I tend to use Notepad and Textpad a lot, and OOo if I need to format
text.

56 :Kouki :2006/08/05(土) 01:06:31
I recommend to you to think how to behave in front of boys.
First, don't talk too much about nothing.
Second, but be cheerful, always wearing smiles.

Even if you think you are not so cute, don't make an impression
to your lovely boy that you are sulky or gloomy.

57 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 01:10:45
>>56
probably you are right.
I think I'm not sulky or gloomy...
I thik I am always cheerful
talk about nothing...? this part, I'm not sure.
Maybe I may talk some meaningless things in front of boys...^^;

58 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/05(土) 01:14:55
>>54
Oh, that's happened to me tons of time. Well, not quite asking, but having
feelings for someone who didn't feel the same way about me. I usually
didn't ask people out if I had feelings for them (merely just tried to
get over them), though it's happened twice, or thrice if you count my
current boyfriend...
But I didn't really ask him, it more of happened naturally as both of
us liked each other too much and kept being too mushy about each other,
missing each other's company.
That was fun x3 Ah, the memories...
However I was thinking of my previous relationship. It's much better
to feel unrequited love for someone if you do know that nothing
will come of it, and that you just need to try to get over it, rather
than what it's like to be in a relationship with someone who keeps
playing mindgames with you, and pretty much just uses you, not really
loving you at all. But then again the situation was complicated, back
then.

59 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 01:18:36
>>57
You know there's a difference between being cheerful and talking
too much, I guess.

My advice is "listen to boys". Girls love to talk, but most of them
forget about listening to boys.

Of course, it depends on what the boy you love is like, though.

60 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 01:23:46
But even we know that we love each other, we are not always 100% sure
about your partner's feeling. Yesterday, you were confident in his
love towards you, but today, you don't know. Maybe he likes you but
the quality of love has changed a little from a week ago. I'm always
unsettled. How about you?

61 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/05(土) 01:25:14

I see.
Notepad or Wordpad less likely suffice when I'm composing a document in Japanese
because Japanese is basically written vertically and I want to write in that fashion while editing.

>>59
Oh yeah, I understand what you mean.

listen to some interesting stories. I am a good listener, I guess.
But yeah, I'll try not to talk too much.

>>59

64 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/05(土) 01:28:44
Love is optically challenged.

65 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 01:30:01
>>64
sorry, I don't understand "optically" part...what does it mean?

66 :Kouki:2006/08/05(土) 01:32:36
>>57
From what you said, I assume that you get too nervous on front of him,
so you becomes over cheerful in order to get attention from him.
I understand why you act like that. When you notice he talks to
girls, you might want him back. You are frastrated to see him talking
to girls who said to you they like the boy you like.

But be reasonable. You don't want to be a funny girl.
Boys think you are funny, but not want to date with you.
So listen to boys and talk about what's asked for.

That's my opinion.

>>70
Hm, I see.

This is what step I think you should take next.
You should imply you like him, I mean, send unspoken messages
that you like him, but not too much.
Sometimes you should talk to other boys in front of him cheerfully,
not funnily. You know what I mean?
But remember, you should take a quick look at him while you are
talking to other boys.

And the more important is, you should take care of girls around you.

76 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 01:48:58
>>75
OK I understand. What do you mean by "I should take care of girls

care of them....

You stupid girl!
When he notice you like him though he hasn't care about you,

What I mean is, he loves to get as many girls as possible
just to boast about it to his fellow boys.

82 :Kouki:2006/08/05(土) 02:01:11
>>76
Difficult to explain in English, but I mean to say
girls often have a feeling that you shouldn't pay attention
too much to boys when you are appealing to boys, even when
you send what I call an unsoken message, you know.

So talking only to males or pretending you are a really nice girl
just in front of males, means you are really disgusting to the girls.

83 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 02:04:13
>>82
ohhh...that's what you meant...
nono haha...I don't do that at all. I am always good to girls.
I'm not good at it. I mean...umm...I'm not kind of a person
who can flirt to boys easily. As you pointed out, I am more like
a funny girl, not a sexy girl. lol so more like a girl for girls.

84 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 02:07:22
ok...I'm too sleepy...Good nite! thanks Kouki!

85 :Kouki:2006/08/05(土) 02:07:40
But I guess you wouldn't change your attitude just because
you are in front of boys; funny girl...

So I think you need to learn how to behave in fron of males.
The reason why I suggest you take care of girls is because
some girls cannot talk to males without being annoying to girls
around them.

86 :Kouki:2006/08/05(土) 02:08:20

you must read dazai.
those that do not read dazai do not understand how the japanese suffer.
to be japanese is to always suffer, but never show it.
after dazai there are many suicidal japanese writers for you like mishima and
kawabata.

That has a lot to do with the way Japanese preople communicate: sublety.
In order to keep confrontation or misleading to a minimum in conversation,
people tend to comfort to a less emotional way, or even avoid mentioning the
point. Instead, we prefer being suggesting, hinting or implying the point you would
want to make. It sometimes leaves the real meaning or intention unclear, of course.
Maybe it's a side product of the culture of "harmony". Also, there is an aspect of
the judgement that keeps people from being open to each other. You can be easily
judgemental by applying morals, mannerism and common sense to a statement.
In a way, society in Japan is pretty tight, compared to where you are from.
Not that it's necessarily bad, though.

Hey guys,
I just read this story:
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/5129350.stm

I'm wondering what you think of it? I can't imagine how someone
can have the will to stay alive after that kind of ordeal. We
are meant to believe that humans are better than wild animals,
but wild animals would never do this to each other.

116 :Gaijin:2006/08/05(土) 10:59:45
突入
My life is so dull. I teach English in an inner-city school in the
South, and 95% of my students are black. Many of them want to learn
Japanese though, and I think I'll teach them.

Other than that, you can buy marijuana everywhere and buying a house is SO CHEAP!

117 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 11:03:48

What grade do you teach? And why would black innercity students
want to learn Japanese?

118 :Gaijin:2006/08/05(土) 11:10:15
I teach Junior English (American Literature).

They're just interested. Especially since they live in an environment
with only two races. Young students are always interested in learning something
unusual. Even my principal has promised to attend my Japanese class.

pfft. That statement is as flawed as:
"All women want is money"
or "All [nationality/ethnicity] want is [stereotype attribute]" :-p
I'm not too certain exactly what you mean by "stuff", I'm assuming sex,
as that's one of the most stereotype statements.
There's a lot more to humans than using others for sex, however
unfortunately the ones that mainly do that do give the others a bad
name. Especially at your age (I'm guessing you're a teenager) what a
lot of people have on their mind is sex, hormones, puberty and all.
People tend to get less impulse driven a few years after ceasing to
be a teenager, if they aren't already like that.

>>108
Heh, why would you be embarassed? _If_ I wouldn't find the music too
interesting, it wouldn't reflect on you as a person nor your tastes
in any way, you know. Though I doubt I'd actually dislike the music.
I enjoy a very wide variety of music (which usually confuses people,
as they can't completely dismiss my taste in music as "bad", as I
usually like what they like too, only a lot more, including things
they think "sucks")

I don't think so. Your manga (or rather the manga about you) would
incite great feelings of moe...
'k-tan Adventure Manga: The Girl Who Love Japan' (<---- That's the
title.)

Chapter 1

k-tan is sitting near her ac enjoying the cool air, she is smiling in
harmony. When suddenly a knock, "Ohh! Who can that be. Let me put on
my slippers and answer the door." She opens the door slowly and
suspiciously. "Ahh dilvery man san! Hello!!" He says, "Hello maam, we
have a package for you." k-tan smiles and thanks him. "What kind be
in this package? Ahh! A book about the temple Daitoku ji!!!" She
examines the pictures. "This is the best book ever."

This chapter (and every chapter ^^;;) if drawn cutely, with SD and
various sound effects making use of Japanese onomatopoeias and mimetic
words, will be super-moe.

140 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/05(土) 23:32:44
Chapter 2 (This one is a little longer.)

k-tan is buried in her books. She is scribbling with her pencil,
and flipping pages. She is completely oblivious to her surrounding,
untill she puts her pencil down to take a sip of tea. "Hmm this
tea is cold." She frowns and curses the tea. This is a rare
moment of anger. So she decides to abandon her studies and makes
a journey to the kitchen to make new tea. She makes tea with
precision. Her movements or that of a superhero, like a speeding
bullet. Or of a great kung fu master. Surely k-tan has
mastered the elements of making great tea. Taking a break she
wobbles over to the couch. Tea in hand. Always on a quest for
new information. She turns on the news. "What is this?!??" The
anchor says "We have a urgent news. NK leader Kim Jong il says
if Japan does not concede to the renaming of the Sea of Japan to
the East Sea of Korea he is prepared to launch an invasion on
Japanese soil. Stay tuned for more." "What is this?!? Invasion
of Japan?!?" Lighting bolts surround k-tan's shadow. "I will not
allow this to happen!!!" k-tan suddenly transforms into
Magi-cute Combat Fighter kill-tan. She flies to NK. "This must
be done for human rights and justice." She says and defeats Kim
Jong il, frees the people of North Korea, and
ensures safety for her beloved Japan. A ceremony where UN
Secretary General Kofi Annan congratules and praises a humble
k-tan takes place.

Chapter 3 coming soon.

images that help to clarify the text and bring it to life is very
good to include.

Well, I don't. You just have cherished the feeling so long

You put yourself in a tough postition.
Anyway, I think I should ask this.
Which do you choose between the circle you are in and the boy

>oh I don't know your point. I just said I like him. That's all.
Is that really all? Haven't you thought of going out with him?
Are you satisfied with "just friends"? I suppose not.
You want more than that.

From what you told me so far, you seem to think all you can do
is wait for them to break up and then he will notice you are there.

Well, it sounds good waiting patiently until the chance has come.
But before the time come, you should try your best to turn
"his gf →←he ←me" into "his gf →←he…> ←me".
You know what I mean? You should let him know you are there
even now.

I asked you about which is important for you, your circle or the boy
in question. You answered, the boy.
So I think it might be a good idea to speak up and go ahead...one of
these days.

And don't think you are a stalker girl. Because you are not.
You haven't do anything extreme, I mean, you seem as if it's guilty
to favor someone in your head. That makes you less attractive.
Believe in yourself.

If you tell me about detales, I would be happy to share my views on

she's in favor of him. There's a big difference between them.
And also I didn't refer to "now". In fact I said, one of these days.

You said, if he is interested in her. But how can she make sure he is
if he doesn't know she's there waiting for him to break up with the girl?
I haven't said she should go too far, but it's not a bad idea to be confident enough.
Well, I wouldn't push my opinion on her, of course. It's just an idea, as I said.

Hi! Kouki, since you think about my problem seriously, I write something.
and there is "sutehan" to show this is the same girl with last night.

I am sure he knows that I like him. Well verbally I don’t say it but
my eyes are always following him and when I look at him I think there
should be lots of stars sparkling in my eyes .lol

I just confess something.

It’s rather an ugly thing to write down but I had a
small fight with her in the beginning. When that girl (aka A)
started to see him, I got so jealous and also I knew that he was
secretly saying A is dumb only she is cute but no brain...so I just
warned her like this

260 :片思い:2006/08/06(日) 11:15:50
Me: Do you know he is not serious with you?
A Huh? How can you say such thing you never know how he
loves me. We meet almost everyday and do you know recently our
love is getting deeper and deeper?
(she said more nasty way but I don’t’know how to write it in
English)
Me: well if you guys are really serious, then that's ok I just
thought he is a play boy.
A: NO! he is only my boy friend he even said he is going to get
married if our relationship continues. He can’t live without
me blabla Just get lost! He is my bf, Just don’t get interested
in him even a bit. Just your existence makes me throwing up.
Just go away! You bustard!
Me: (those words stroked me)..(drop my head) ok I will never bother
you anymore. Sorry So please don’t disturb me anymore. I won’t
talk to you anymore...

She pretends as an innocent girl but in a reality she is so bad. She’s bitch.

But I don’t think he knows her well. Anyway, do you still think I can
show my feeling in this circle where she is? When she’s around I look
like a numb. Just being there as a funny girl.

Heh. Been there, done that.
Always remember this: You are not your past, you are what you choose to
make of your past. Everyone goes through bad things, what sets people
apart is how they choose to react on it, and what they will do with
their experiences.
You can either let it drag you down into a downwards spiral, or you can
learn from it, and move on. Let your experiences strengthen you, not
make you weaker.

Yeah, me too. I act funny when I am very depressed and feel like there is

tell a lot of gags 24 hours....but I can't just face to the reality...
When I am too sad or struggling, I say jokes all the time.

That's a difficult question to answer clearly. It's up to you, but
if he really doesn't know what happened between her and you, I mean,
if she can't speak ill of you to him, my sense told me that she will
be harsh on you in the circle when you start sending him love signals.

I think I know what will happen next. She will start talking about you
behind the scene. That's why I've been thinking it's important to take
care of other girls around you... More enemies means you feel awkward
in the circle and end up going away.

Anyway, if you really like the guy and there's no other way out,
then it might be wise to look what's going on for a while.
My theory is based on these conditions:
1) you like him so much you think no other boys
aren't right for you although he doesn't care about you so much now.
2) you and his girlfriend are like arch enemies each other.

My idea is as follows:
1) You should keep sending unspoken massages to him, implying you like him.
2) He may start to care about you.
3) Then he would talk with you in private about the relationship between
him and her.
4) 3) means there's a chance he will change his mind.
5) Then it's about time you confessed your feeling toward him...

So in conclusion, the step you should take next will be... Appealing to him not when
she's around and taking care of other girls to ensure they don't
turn your opponents.

This is just an idea. If you don't like it, you should ignore it.
Good luck.

Thanks!^^

Yeah, Your suggestion could be of help for my life in the circle.

I've been trying to contact other girls in the circle, but for some
reason, nobody replies to my emails. I don't think they all belive what
she said (I have no idea what she's been talking about me). But taking her
personality into consideration, she might be saying very nasty things about
me. But I just don't care about that. If nobody talks to me anymore, that's
fine with me. When the time comes, they will know the fact.

About my crash, he is a smart guy so he'll know how terrible she is later.
But re sending my unspoken messages to him, ummmm...that is difficult. But I'll try
Thanks again for your advice! Kouki!<3

Err. h ttp://www.lyricsfind.com/o/offspring/americana/why-don't-you-get-a-job.php

>>323
Not really, it's sort of the other way around. The lower res one has,
the more one needs to scroll in order to see all the text.
That said, I frequently use the [Home],[End], [Page Up] and [Page Down]
buttons, as well as the scroll wheel on my computer-mouse.

327 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/07(月) 23:16:11

329 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/07(月) 23:25:04
>>326
So you don't use the numeric keypad?

330 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/07(月) 23:25:57
for entering numbers, I meant.

331 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/07(月) 23:29:15
Turning NumLock on and off troubles me.

332 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/07(月) 23:30:32
>>329
For scrolling? No.
For numbers? As often as the line of numbers above the letters.
I tend to use the Enter key there as frequently or more frequently than
the Enter key at the letters.

333 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/07(月) 23:36:53
>>331
Ahh.. I hate it when NumLock accidentally gets turned off.
I only use the Numpad for numbers, and I scroll with either the
scroll wheel on the mouse, the arrow buttons, or the buttons above them.

worry about me being unhappy too much ^_^

336 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/07(月) 23:53:19
oh... you have already had a luckiest boyfriend... i am very shocked.

337 :Condemned to ◆Hell/6W/Cs :2006/08/07(月) 23:57:50
Oh, I was confused.
My old keyboard didn't have [Home] [End] [Page Up]
and [Page Down] buttons above the arrow keys.
Those functions were allocated to the numeric keypad
so I had to turn NumLock off to Page Up, Page Down, etc.
My new keyboard has those keys. This is great.

338 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/08(火) 00:15:22
>>336
A bit surprising that you are shocked, considering how annoyingly often I
keep whining about of my lack of him, here ;-)

>>337
Ahhh, great indeed :-D And yeah, numpads tend to always have those
keys as alternatives, even if the keyboard does have a proper set of
those keys away from the numerical pad.

I'm in Tokyo, and I can't find my tripkey. Oh well.

I was surprised to see that the city really does look like 塊魂.
There are an awful lot of stairs everywhere. Oh, so many stairs.
Maps almost never are oriented to the North.
I've spent more on drinks than on food, because it's so hot.
But it's late, so I will go to bed. If you see a purple-haired gaijin
around, say hi!

ummm...This article is interesting. There's the most successful way to
instantly stop a baby from crying...

Hopefully a baby would stop crying soon. Because it really annoys us
when a baby cries throughout the time when you are on
the Shinkansen bullet train. Sometimes I feel like going to the
seat where the baby is and then silence her tongue with my hands...
just kidding lol

kaho is a pretty virgin.

360 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/08(火) 09:27:49
Why girl idlos often marry rich IT business men, not thier fans?
I think idols betray fans.

361 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/08(火) 09:35:44
being idol is to gain her incentives. She is not professional;
actress or singer...therefore she uses her incentive to marry
with a rich man.

362 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/08(火) 09:38:53
but betraying give their fans biggest shock.
fans buy idol goods, photo-books, and CDs! Fans buy more goods than IT men.

363 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/08(火) 09:47:47
LOL IT men could be one of the idols fan in a decade ago...lol

And also when you look at some old days idols, like, Asada Miyoko - she's married
to a musician but soon divorced. Nishimura Tomomi - married to a
poor guy, I assume her income is x100 greater than her hub. lol

Well I don't know. But how do you say? big humbergers, french fries,
and very very sweet dessert (really big size for us) and some 80's rock
music etc. haha In Japan, even one restaurant advertise as an "American style restaurant",
usually it's not. All the steaks taste soy sauce.
etc...lol I remember one of my friend's parents came to Japan from U.S,
they really had a hard time to find a Western style restaurant in the
local area. ^^ So this time, I finally found a typical American style...I guess. lol

"surströmming" or vegemite/marmite or something xD Not that I've ever
tried any of those two. I've merely heard they're quite an aquired taste.
Especially the "surströmming"... I wonder if I'd be able to like it,
as I am horribly fond of pickled herring :-3
"Surströmming" is a few knotches worse than that, as it is fermented
pickled herring. Allegedly the smell is pretty strong, and that one
either hates it or loves it. No idea what it's really like, yet.

and I found you! lol I just emailed my crush today...he gave me
a reply (very short one) but I felt he sounded happy to receive
a mail from me...(if I didn't take it too optimistic...lol)

487 :Kouki:2006/08/08(火) 23:45:00
Personally, I'm looking forward to basketball World Championship 2006.

>>486
Good. Not to alarm you, but you shouldn't expect too much from him "now".
You should only lay the foundation for the future bliss now.

488 :片思い:2006/08/08(火) 23:50:21
>>487
lol as always you are so realistic and rigorous(?).
sorry if it sounded offensive. lol
Yeah, but I agree. I should not expect too much.
But don't worry...I'm just happy watching him hiding behind a tree lol

Josou lost. Unbeliebable.
It was the first round. 11 to 8.

http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E5%A1%8A%E9%AD%82 - it's a PS2 game.

America is more spread out, not built up and down as much. So, fewer stairs.

492 :Kouki:2006/08/09(水) 00:06:17
>>488
Don't worry about it. I'm not offended.

Well, I don't want to let you down or anything.
I don't know exactly what he is like, I mean, if he's not shrewed, then I don't want to
stop you from losing no time writing back to him everytime
he e-mails you, but in my view he's really strategic.
Don't let yourself lose your head. He's still her boyfriend.
Anyway, stick with it.

493 :Kouki:2006/08/09(水) 00:12:09
>>491
Thanks.

I've remembered I saw TV commercials on the game.

494 :片思い:2006/08/09(水) 00:16:02
>>492
Yeah, I haven't told you what he is like...
he is like the one you indicated...he is strategic. I think. Very smart
and hardly ever shown his real feeling to others and sometimes he said
really bad things about his bf but we never know if he really means it or not.
He may pretends as if he is not very serious about her, but
in reality he maybe serious. So yeah....I know I am not expecting to
get him now...well he is just irresistible for me...so I just can't
stop loving him...that's all...I go to bed good night everybody!

495 :片思い:2006/08/09(水) 00:17:22
*sorry his gf...lol

496 :Kouki:2006/08/09(水) 00:36:38
>>494
Hmm, I see.

I don't want to be rude or offensive or whatever, and I know you
hate to hear me saying things like this, but in my opinion,
you are being carried away now and so can't look at any other guys
but him. As you said, his girlfriend may be a bit nasty, but
what about him? The guys in the circle don't seem to feel bitter when they
see him boasting about his relationship with the girl?

Well, I speak a lot.. Forget about it...

497 :Kouki:2006/08/09(水) 00:41:51
Sorry I was a bit too hard.
I think you are really doing well. Guess he's noticed you like him.

499 :Kouki:2006/08/09(水) 00:45:52

women's clothes, is it?

500 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 01:28:12
miyavi is not miyabi.
he is an insult to japanese.
or just a joke.

shazna's izam is another case.

they are all pretty ugly without makeup.
still they are mediocre with makeup though if we watch
their face carefully on face value.
some stargazing adolescencets got sick and want to see
them as good as they wish.
that's like a measel.

someday you'll come to yoursenses and fully realize how
fool you were, wasting a time on such a dust.

504 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 02:05:29
She's a famous J-idol, whose fart smells very sweet and wonderful.

505 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 02:12:18
yukorin is a typical burikko.
disgusting.
her eyes tell everything.she is only acting her role.

506 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 02:24:48
No, she's innocent and pure.

507 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 02:28:58

she is youger than tamao sato.
but the same type.

Tamao Sato, yeah, she's cute for her age. Do you like her?

509 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 03:13:49
Deffinetely. She's my love.

510 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 03:45:51
Tamao sato is more gorgeous than ogura yuko.
Look at her body!
Yukorin is flat chested.

511 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 03:58:36
Sato's nipples are large.
How about Yukorin's?

512 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 05:21:19
Maybe not so large.

513 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 06:16:57
Hmm, Yukorin used to talk differently from now. Now she is very sweaty,
but several years ago her way of talking was that of really annoying girls'.

514 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 06:22:58
yurorin has never exposed her breasts and will never.
pure image is her life line.

her fans will be disillusioned too.

if she should decide to do hair-nude ever, that is the time
when she is on the skids.

rie miyazawa did a hair nude by perfect timing.

I have to rush off but about him boasting?
Everybody there admit that he is talented, so we just take whatever
he says while we surprisingly observe her behaviors.
She's changed a lot after she became his gf.
She seemed meek before but not anymore. Maybe some see them
sarcastically but I never know. I've never talked over about them with
other members. That's not a happy topic for me...that's why. lol
Thanks Kouki! Have a nice day!

Well, I used to go to a small bar in Kyoto called Malibu and watch it while drinking whiskey
, and she saw my personal ad in the local Kansai gaijin magazine, called me and then hung up out of embarassment.
I called her number back on my keitai, talked to her and we set up a date at Kiyamachi
in Kyoto. We went to Bar Africa and then a ramen-ya. She then told me "木屋町の一番おいしいラーメンは長浜ラーメンって知ってはる?”
My answer was, "そですか?でもこのラーメンは一番おいしと思う" My wife then realized she had said everything in front of the tencho
and I was saving her ass with my words. A year later, we married.

Actually at the time I was dating a lot of American and British girls in Japan
because a lot of Japanese girls are simply too superficial. Ask a Japanese girl,
"What do you like to do?" and 95% of the time they will say, "お買い物". I didn't
care much for Japanese girls until I met my wife, and went to Japan to perfect my language
skills and work as a translator.

脇を固める probably came from sumo wrestling. Original meaning is to protect yourself from side attack.
Usually used in the sense of making sure of all the preparation so that you can react some unexpected
happening.

Actually, it's the other way around, according to statistics i've seen,
i just wish i could remember the source, i'll try to find it again.
Most humans masturbate, however the percentage of women that do
not are higher than the guys that do not.
I'll try to dig up some reasonably verifiable sources for this.
Though I have no idea about what the statistics look like for
female teenagers, you might be right there, as the ones i saw
just divided it into females and males, regardless of age.

>>594
Yes, but I've never been to Japan.

596 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 22:21:26
Yeah, so your bf tells you many things about Japan?
how often do you talk to him? do you talk with him by telephone?

597 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/09(水) 22:31:10
>>596
Well, now that he isn't at home, but is in Japan, twice or maybe thrice
a week via internet.
He used to call once or twice a week when he was studying in Fukuoka
last month, but he no longer has the rented mobile, so that's not
possible any more.
My boyfriend does tell me many things about Japan, but there are plenty
of other places I heard about things related to Japan, such as this
board. I didn't know what nata de coco was until a kind 2ch'er explained
to me what it was some while ago, for instance. I hadn't really heard
about it before someone here mentioned it.

598 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/09(水) 22:41:46
hmm... Either someone explained it to me, or I merely looked it up when
someone mentioned earlier... I'm not sure of which. I often look up
things I don't know anything about.

What is nata de coco?

606 :名無しさん@英語勉強中:2006/08/09(水) 23:28:20
>>605

Hi! Ihmhi! nata de coco is a natural food made by coconut milk.
fermented milk. lol

607 :606:2006/08/09(水) 23:30:01
it's dessertlike jello.^^

608 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/09(水) 23:47:21
>>605
What >>606 said.
it was apparently quite a fad in the middle of the previous decade,
being sold as almost miracle health food that was believed to protect
he body from colon cancer; low calorie, no cholesterol, and very high
in dietary fibre.
It's used in desserts and drinks, amongst other things. At one
point it allegedly was so popular the demand vastly exceeded the
supply that was imported to Japan. This in spite of that 90% of the
Philippines' nata de coco production was imported by Japan at that
point in time. Though that was last decade, and nowadays it's not longer
a fad.

609 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/09(水) 23:50:56
i looked up the official definition:
> Nata de coco is a chewy, translucent, traditional Philippine
> dessert which is "coconut gel-product from coconut water by
> bacterial fermentation-prepared."

749 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/10(木) 17:41:09

Women can be more positive and agressive about sex, though
the same way all guys aren't that, nor do all the women have
to be like that. Though I pity people who're traumatized
about themselves.
Your statement reminds me, at some school in UK, the schoolgirls
were being very sexually agressive, and a lot of the guys were
complaining at that the girls had resorted to their methods,
whistling after the other gender, coaxing them into having sex,
molesting and violating the other sex, calling them names,
etc etc. The school faculty was upset, at that "the girls had
sunk to the boys' level". The boys were pretty unhappy as well,
as they didn't like getting treated badly like that.
I just hope those boys have learned that it's not good to do
things to people against their wishes, and that those girls
will too.

>>735
Eh? Binding literally or socially?
It isn't healthy to make people feel bad about their
natural feelings, no. Makes them traumatized later on
when they do keep feel anything "wrong" according
to what they've been taught they have to be like.
Like a friend of mine, his mom was horribly
religious. At times when he's feeling depressed,
if he feels attracted to anyone, he gets nauseous
and disgusted, and sometimes even throws up -___-;;
Poor guy, I need to get him to go to a therapist.
He's okay most of the time, apart from when he gets
depressed.

751 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/10(木) 18:23:19

OCD = Obsessive-compulsive disorder
I was referring to that she hit herself ten times after she decided that
she was bad, as well as that she kept repeating that she was bad.

>>724
Please stop beating yourself up, and brainwashing yourself into thinking
that you're a bad person. It makes me sad.
If you have problems with studying, http://studygs.net/ is a good page.
If you feel you have too big problems focusing, http://studygs.net/adhd/index.htm
may be a good page to visit, even if you don't have ADHD.
I have tons of links to other sites regarding how to become more efficient,
and how to focus better, so if you want more, all you need to do is ask.
This one was merely the site I'm aware of that's most focused on school
type of studies/personal development).

Hmm. Interesting idea.
Thanks, but no thanks. It wouldn't be the same at all. I'd rather
have emails from him stating that he was online, than fake conversations.
He would discover rather quickly that it was but a bot, regardless of how
well coded it would have been... We make too many abrupt topic jumps, and
connect them loosely too much... As well as doing too many random jokes
and references to various topics...
If I have something particular I want to say to my boyfriend, I can
always email that to him ^_^

"A Great Writer"

There was once a young man who, in his youth, professed his desire to become a great writer.

When asked to define "great" he said, "I want to write stuff that the whole world will read,
stuff that people will react to on a truly emotional level, stuff that will make them scream,
cry, howl in pain and anger!"

He now works for Microsoft, writing error messages.

"The Greatest Love of All"

A husband and wife were at a party chatting with some friends
when the subject of marriage counseling came up.

"Oh, we'll never need that. My wife and I have a great relationship,"
the husband explained. "She was a communications major in college
and I majored in theatre arts. So, She communicates well and I act like I'm listening."

"Against Wars"

The social studies teacher had just finished a unit on war and peace.
"How many of you," he asked, "would say you're opposed to war?"
Not surprisingly, all hands went up.
The teacher asked, "who'll give us the reason for being opposed to war?"
A large, bored-looking boy in the back of the room raised his hand.
"Johnny?" The teacher said.
"I hate war," Johnny said, "because wars make history, and I hate history."

846 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/10(木) 23:23:09
>>840
I merely got lucky when it came to my current boyfriend.
I've had unrequited crushes on people when I was younger, as well as that
I was in a bad relationship with a guy for two and a half years
before I got together with my current boyfriend.
I know very well what it's like to be with someone who flirts with
any female - that in itself I do not mind, as long as there's nothing
more to it than that. But my previous boyfriend flirted with everybody,
and treated me worse than them. It's not fun to date someone who
doesn't even bother to treat you like the girlfriend you're supposed
to be. At one point he even treated me as if I were some annoying
guy that he was stuck with, rather than a girl (his behaviour towards
girls is more flirty, and more intimate). He also refused to explain
anything, and kept claiming that everything was okay and good, in
spite of that he kept behaving as if things were very wrong.
However, I do not attribute this to some sort of "male mystery".
I've known too many people in my days, too many of my friends
during my youth have been male, for me to feel that there's something
mysterious about any gender. I see cause and effect, and that's
that.
Though, I'm also the very friendly type of person, and so are
my friends. So you and I have a bit of a cultural difference, there.
Many of my friends feel free to compliment people's looks, or
happily state that they feel relaxed hanging out with each other,
without there being a romantical reason for it.
We're a very mixed group, genderwise, as well as rather open
and honest with each other.

847 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/10(木) 23:26:14
>>840
Hm.
My current boyfriend, he never really flirted with anyone. He
hadn't even held hands with a girl before we hooked up. He seemed
very asexual, especially as he constantly complained over the
many years we knew each other, about that he never had any crushes
on anyone. He feared there was something wrong with him, and he
kept being very confused about his sexual orientation, considering
the lack of sufficient attraction to either gender he used to
have.

848 :片思い:2006/08/10(木) 23:32:01
>>846
wow k-tan! thanks for sharing your previous relationship. I see...
so you had a sad experience as me before. As you said, it is true.
He often say nice things to me but it maybe just a compliment and doesn't
contain some romantic meanings. lol
But he surely has some sexy atmospher when he's with me. But it doesn't
mean he has feeling..lol ok I have to go back to study. I enjoyed a lot
being with you guys good night/have a nice day! ^^

Paradoxally my ex-boyfriend at one point stated that I was too
feminine, in spite of that he kept treating me like some random
guy he was stuck with. That comment is even more absurd considering
that I'm not ultra-feminine, nor am I macho, as well as that
he found plenty of females more feminine than me attractive.
Ahh, so many headgames. I really can't stand it when people try to
play such on me, regardless of what gender they have. I guess I
should have taken it as a hint to end the relationship when
things abruptly when awry after a mere month of my ex and me being
together. Too many damned mindgames.

more correct English, if what you've written isn't easily understood.

period a lot of people return to their hometowns.

For Halloween, kids dress up in costumes and go trick or treating, and some people go to parties.
I'm not sure what the signficance of the holiday is, though. I think that some cultures used to believe that spirits would come that day, and they would light fires to hold them off.

905 :898:2006/08/11(金) 14:11:06
Light fires to hold them off? oh so...it's opposite with us. We want
the sprits to visit our house. Light fire inside the pumpkin, right?

I used to think why all the sweets offered are not eaten by my
grandpa (because it is remaines there for days...) when I was child. lol

She misleads the situation. I liked one guy he is now with somebody.

I happened to see the program too, though I missed the last part of it.
What happened after Okamura's bean fell into the hole thing?

Hmm, I was under the impression that the American oil industry has pulled
the strings, though I don't think this unsuccessful terror was anticipated
in the first place.

971 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 00:23:31
>>967
Intersting.

>>968
No problem.

>>971
hey Kouki! still around? ^^
What was the thing you were trying to say last night?
it is against the rule (?) to leave in middle of the sentence...lol
just kidding

974 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 00:39:48
Hi k-tan sup?

975 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 00:42:13
>>940
All I know about it is that the manga was made into film. If I'm not
mistaken, it's shown in Japan now. Saddly, I don't know what the story
is like.

976 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 00:50:38
>>975
Maybe you've forgotten by now.
then it's ok...but you were trying to say something
secret about guys. but you also mentioned that if you talk
further than that, I maybe hurt?...something interesting?

977 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 00:53:20
>>973
Hmm, I don't have a way with words. I've already said what I had in mind.

978 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 00:56:35
>>977
e? oh...if there is nothing, then it's ok...
Maybe what I need right now is not to be too shortsighted, right?
that's what I think.

979 :moriman:2006/08/12(土) 00:59:16
>>975
that manga is love comedy story.
five peaple's lovestory.
however im men i know little.
very famous manga

980 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 01:00:55
>>978
Yep.

One thing I came up with is that a play boy knows how to
act in front of girls and get attention from as many girls
as he can. You know what I want to say?

981 :k-tan ◆teb9WQfPoU :2006/08/12(土) 01:02:23
>>974
Not much. Being tired, sick and trying to get some assignments
done. Not going to well =(

982 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 01:02:37
>>979
I see. Thanks!

983 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 01:04:34
>>981
oh I see! take care! *hugs*
is it afternoon for you now?

>>Kouki
playboy's mentality? yeah...he is just like that.lol
so he is not serious with anybody? means I still have a chance lol

984 :Kouki:2006/08/12(土) 01:12:01
>>983
If you only see the bright side, yes.
If you see the other side, no, the playboy just plays with you.
It depends.

But you are super-positive. Better keep your positive attitude,
I think.

985 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 01:17:59
>>984
lol maybe. I just believe in myself I am the one who can "handle"??? him...lol
but there seems some murky things going on recently. So I just don't want
to touch that area for awhile. She's really murky person. or because of
him, as a playboy she just can't put up with it and behave like that.

986 :片思い:2006/08/12(土) 01:29:56
oh sorry Kouki and other people to bother you too much with
my private problem. Anyway, good night see you later!^^
